About Ellie
Hello! My name is Ellie.
Ellie Nesbitt is a self-taught digital painter and fine artist. She currently resides in the Great Lakes lowlands of Ontario, Canada.
Her digital portraits are inspired by a collection of unpublished fairy-tale and fantasy narratives. Each painting features compelling expressive eyes, textural brushwork and fine detail. She enjoys delving into the realms of imaginative realism and dark fantasy.
Ellie’s piece 42 and the Unicorn Fish was published as the cover art of Bourbon Penn Issue 28. Her artwork The Dream Keeper is published in Infected by Art Book - Volume 10 and her pop surrealism piece Little Wolf was selected for inclusion in Infected by Art Book - Volume 11. Several of Ellie’s pieces have been published in Top 50 Artists to Watch In 2022 & 2023 as well as Marvelous Art Magazine March 2022. She was in The Concept Art Association’s first gallery show at Gallery Nucleus in Los Angeles, CA with her fantasy painting The Covenant of the Rose. The Covenant of the Rose and Little Wolf were both featured as inspirational entries for the Beautiful Bizarre Art Prize 2022. This October, she participated in the Small Works group show (Halloween themed) at the Curio Art Gallery where she sold her piece The Possession as a 1 of 1 digital original print and received a second unanticipated sale of Sofie Marceau in the same small works format. She sold out of her first digital solo collection Weird Tales with the Curio Art Gallery online in December and is currently working on a series of paintings for her original fairytale The Tin Princess.
